Danish touring car veterans Henrik Moller-Sorensen and Kurt Thiim are poised to team up for an assault on the Le Mans Series, having raced against each other in recent seasons.
Moller-Sorensen ran a lone Danish Touringcar Championship race for Hartmann Honda Racing last season and was keen to find an international project to coincide with running his own team in the domestic tin-top series. Thiim, meanwhile, had been looking to return to sportscars, leading to the reigning pair agreeing to team up under the Markland Racing banner.
The combination will enter a brand new Chevrolet Corvette Z06, which is currently under construction in Denmark. Thiim has revealed that he will not only race in each of the six Le Mans Series rounds, but will also conduct all test and development work, which will begin shortly.
The team is also seeking a third driver for the campaign, and is talking to drivers in both Denmark and abroad.
