The factory Spyker team has revealed that Jarek Janis will miss the opening round of the Le Mans Series after suffering from the reoccurrence of an old neck injury.

Janis, making his return to racing this year following a high-speed accident at Spa back in 2007, was due to partner Tom Coronel at the wheel of the lone C8 Lavoilette entered in the race but has now been forced to sit out the event.

As a result, Benjamin Leuenberger will move over from the Speedy Racing Team Sebah LMP2 outfit to join Coronel after Speedy Racing team boss Alexandre Pesci gave permission for his driver to be released from his duties in the team's Lola Coupe.

The Spyker will line up from ninth in GT2 for the season opener, while Leuenberger's car switch means the Speedy Lola will be handed by Jonny Kane and Xavier Pompidou.
