Four cars have been excluded from the results of the second round of the Le Mans Series at Spa following post-race scrutineering.
The #29 Racing Box Lola, and the #32 Barazi Epsilon Zytek – which took third and fourth in the LMP2 class – have both been thrown out of the results which allows the OAK Racing team to secure a podium finish with its #35 entry.
The #26 Bruichladdich Bruneau Radical has also been excluded having taken the chequered flag in sixth in LMP2.
In the GT2 class, the #77 Team Felbermayr-Proton Porsche has also been excluded from the results, having taken the chequered flag in first place. As a result, the Team Modena Ferrari inherits victory – the first win for the team after it switched from the GT1 class at the start of the year.
The results of the race are now provisional pending appeals from the four teams into their exclusions.
