The Pescarolo Sport team has completed a test at Magny-Cours with the Peugeot 908 HDi that it will campaign in the Le Mans 24 Hours.
Henri Pescarolo's eponymous squad will run the diesel-powered LMP1 coupe alongside one its own Pescarolo-Judds at La Sarthe, with Peugeot reserve driver Simon Pagenaud sharing driving duties with Jean-Christophe Boullion and Benoit Treluyer.
The main aim of the test was to give the three drivers time at the wheel of the car, more so in the case of Treluyer who had never previously sampled the diesel, while the session also allowed the Pescarolo mechanics to get their first chance to work closely with the car.
The two-day test passed without problems, with the team now 'ready to fulfil the task we were assigned' – to help prevent Audi securing another La Sarthe success.
Aside from the Peugeot, the team has also confirmed that Joao Barbosa will complete the driver line-up in the Pescarolo-Judd alongside Christophe Tinseau and Bruce Jouanny.
