World Superbike Championship racer Fonsi Nieto will get the chance to show what he can do on four-wheels after inking a deal to contest the upcoming Le Mans Series round in the Algarve.

Nieto, who finished sixth in the standings last season with the factory Suzuki team, found himself without a ride this year although he returned to the Alstare-run Suzuki squad for the events at Kyalami, Miller and Misano in place of the injured Max Neukirchner.

The Spaniard has now agreed to join DFX Ducati for the Brno event alongside Lorenzo Lanzi but will also take on the challenge of the Le Mans Series after signing up with the Q8 Oils Hache Team for the Algarve race.
