CRS Racing has announced the signing of Pierre Kaffer for its maiden assault on the Le Mans Series this season.
The German driver will contest the opening two rounds of the season at Paul Ricard and Spa alongside Phil Quaife and Pierre Ehret and will join the team for the pre-season tests at Paul Ricard early next month.
“I have heard lots of positive things about CRS and I have known Andrew (Kirkaldy) for a long time,” he said. “It will be good to drive with Pierre again as we fit well together and I know we will have a lot of fun. From the outside the package looks good. Even though the entry list is very strong in GT2 this year I am confident we can have some good results.”
Team director Andrew Kirkaldy said he was delighted to have Kaffer onboard as the team moves into the Le Mans Series for the first time.
“It's great for us to have Pierre driving with us,” he said. “GT2 is looking very competitive this year so we are pleased to have two very strong line-ups for CRS Racing's first season in the Le Mans Series.”
