Rebellion Racing has revealed the full driver line-up for its #13 Lola LMP1 entry in this year's Le Mans 24 Hours, with experienced Briton Guy Smith joining Andrea Belicchi and Jean-Christophe Boullion.

The team now has a talented and highly experienced trio aboard the car, and will give all three drivers a chance to work together during the Paul Ricard 8 Hours, which opens the 2010 Le Mans Series on 11 April. Smith will first drive the Lola during the Le Mans Series test days at the French circuit over 7-8 March, following a seat fitting at the Rebellion Racing workshop.

"Guy has a wealth of sportscar experience and, as a previous winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Bentley in 2003, he knows what is required to succeed in the world's greatest race," team Manager Bart Hayden commented, "His experience with the Lola coupe in America should ease his integration into our team.

"Guy will have his first outing in the car at the official Le Mans Series test at Paul Ricard HTTT and then he will partner with Andrea and Jean-Christophe for the first round of the LMS. He'll be back with us at Le Mans where we will all be hoping for a repeat of the success he experienced in 2003."

Smith believes that his time racing a Lola in the American Le Mans Series will definitely make the chance with Rebellion easier to adapt to.

"I am familiar with the Lola coupe chassis as it is similar to the one I race in the ALMS, and it really is first class," he noted, "Combined with the new Rebellion engine, I am sure we will have a fast and reliable package that will allow us to fight at the front at Le Mans as well as the Le Mans series.

"I think that Rebellion Racing are one of the most exciting and ambitious teams in sportscar racing today. The team has evolved over the last few years and has firmly established itself as one of the top teams in Le Mans type racing.

"I'm excited to be joining two great drivers in Jean-Christophe and Andrea. Having raced Jean-Christophe over the years, I know that he is one of the world's best sportscar drivers, while I first raced Andrea in karts when we were 16 and we had some great battles. Since then, he has developed into a very fast sportscar driver too."
