Mansell crashes out

Nigel Mansell crashes out of the Le Mans 24 Hours
Barely 20 minutes into the Le Mans 24 Hours, the Beechdean Mansell dream appears to be at an end after Nigel Mansell crashed on the Mulsanne.

The Ginetta-Zytek appeared to suffer a puncture that saw the 1992 F1 champion go off heavily into the barriers.

Marshals have removed Mansell from the car and he has now been carried to a waiting ambulance.

More news to follow as it becomes available.

lol as much as I'm a fan of Nigel, we all know how he can be. I'm sure he'll be fine from what looked like a little off. I'm sure we all remember his permalimp and the times he ended up in hospital whnever he had an off before "bravely continuing in the name of his fans and the bulldog spirit". Like I say I really am a fan of Nigel's but I'm not too worried just yet
