Kronos secures Le Mans role as Highcroft bow out

Highcroft withdrawal puts Kronos Racing into the Le Mans 24 Hours
Kronos Racing has been promoted into the Le Mans 24 Hours following the withdrawal of ALMS title winners Highcroft Racing.

Highcroft pulled out of the race earlier this week after splitting with HPD/Honda, which had allowed Kronos to move up from the reserve list.

The team, best known of its rallying exploits, took part in the recent Le Mans test day with its Lola-Aston Martin and will now compete in the race itself with Vanina Ickx, Bas Leinders and Maxime Martin on driving duties.

Kronos' promotion into the race means just two cars remain on the reserve list in the shape of Robertson Racing with its pro Ford GT and the Aston Martin Vantage of Young Driver AMR.
