Lotus has announced it will participate in the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The deadline for the Championship registration ended on Wednesday and the squad has submitted the entry for two cars for the WEC and the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Furthermore the team has also confirmed that German Thomas Holzer and American Kevin Weeda will lead the driver's line up. Both of them competed for Lotus in the previous year and gained a lot of experience in endurance racing.

After a successful first season in FIA WEC, the team will compete in the LMP2 class with two brand-new Lotus T128s in 2013. The new car will be presented to the public in the next few weeks.
