Stephane Sarrazin moved the #7 Toyota back in to the lead during the fifth hour of the Le Mans 24 Hours as the top four cars circulate on the same lap.

Brendon Hartley had guided the #20 Porsche to the head of the field but was out of sync with the pit stops and had to stop twice during the hour - the second time was earlier due to a puncture - relegating him to third place overall before Lucas di Grassi in the #1 Audi overtook him but then had to stop again.

The #8 Toyota continued its recovery following a crash in the wet in the opening two hours, rising up to 20th place overall with Sebastien Buemi at the wheel.

A close race at the head of the LMP2 class continued, with Alex Brundle moving the #35 Oak Racing Ligier in to the lead having overtaken Michel Frey's #34 Race Performance Oreca in to the first chicane.

There was trouble in the GTE Class for the #52 RAM Racing Ferrari as Alvaro Parente had to jump from the car near Arnage with smoke coming from the cockpit, though he managed to get the car back to the garage for hs mechanics to examine.

Sarrazin leads by 50s now, while di Grassi has pit for a sixth time and dropped back to fourth place. Brundle has a 17s lead for the #35 Oak Racing Ligier now at the front of the LMP2 class

Di Grassi in the #1 Audi takes over third place from Hartley in the #20 Porsche across the finish line. Both cars lapping a few seconds slower than the lead #7 Toyota and #2 Audi

Senna up to third in class as he passes the #92 Porsche on the pit straight. The #51 Ferrari in second place is ten seconds up the road

The two Porsche's and Senna in the Aston Martin scrapping over third in the GTE PRO class. Senna's #97 Aston has already passed the #91 Porsche and now looking to pass the #92

It wasn't the quickest stop in the world for Hartley and the #20 Porsche is just seven seconds clear of Di Grassi in the #1 Audi

Hartley brings the #20 Porsche in for its fifth stop. He was 10s off the lead before that stop, but now he's back down to third place

Close fight for second place in GTE PRO, with four cars covered be less than 10s: Vilander in the #51 Ferrari, Holzer in the #92 Porsche, Bergmeister in the #91 Porsche and Senna in the #97 Aston. Milner leads the class in the #74 Corvette, some 40s up the road

Brundle in the #35 Oak Racing Ligier takes the LMP2 lead from Frey in the #34 Race Performance Oreca up the inside in to the first chicane, with Frey cutting it and having to go slowly through the staggered tyre barriers

Four cars on the lead lap now - the #7 Toyota, #20 Porsche, #2 Audi and #1 Audi - with 1m35s between them. Hartley struggling with traffic and drops 7.9s behind the leader

Parente has got the RAM Racing Ferrari back to the garage and the team will go to work on the #52 car

In the battle for the lead of the LMP2 class, the #34 Race Performance Oreca leads the #35 Oak Racing Ligier by 3.9s

Sarrazin pits the #7 Toyota from the lead and he retains the lead after a good stop. The gap between Sarrazin and Hartley in the #20 Porsche is less than ten seconds

Treluyer pits from second place in the #2 Audi so Hartley will be back up to P2 now. Also a stop for the #8 Toyota which is in 36th place overall

Parente has parked the #52 RAM Racing Ferrari on the verge by Anarge and is calling for a fire extinguisher with smoke leaking from the cockpit

Pit stop for the #14 Porsche with Lieb at the wheel, running in tenth overall at present. He may have lost a place to the #43 Morgan but that car has just caused a yellow flag at the first chicane...

A change of lead as there is also a stop for Hartley in the #20 Porsche, so the lead hands over to Sarrazin. Treluyer will take over second place as well

The #1 Audi pits for a fifth time, with di Grassi staying at the wheel. He's in fourth place but had been lapping more quickly than the leaders

Hartley's pace in the lead Porsche slower than those behind him right now and Sarrazin is 10.3 seconds off the lead in the #7 Toyota. The lead LMP2 battle should resume now after Frey pitted the Race Performance Oreca - Brundle had already stopped in the #35 Ligier for a fifth time
