Audi sent out a message to its rivals by locking out the top three in morning warm-up for the 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours.

The #9 R18 e-tron Quattro in the hands of Filip Albuquerque set the fastest time of a 3m 19.423secs, the quickest lap completed by an Audi over a single lap this week, with the #8 and #7 cars following closely behind.

The pole sitting #18 Porsche followed up in fourth place, ahead of the sister #17 car, while Sebastien Buemi also turned in Toyota's best lap of the week so far to go sixth fastest, in front of the #19 Porsche and the #2 Toyota.

Nissan, meanwhile, had just one of its cars - the #22 GT-R LM NISMO - complete a timed lap, some 26secs off the pace, with the #21 and #23 machines failing to make it entirely round.

In the LMP2 class, last year's winners JOTA Sport came out fighting as they led a Gibson 1-2 in front of the Greaves Motorsport car, ahead of pole sitter KCMG, G-Drive and Thiriet by TDS.

In the GT class, Aston Martin was once again quickest, this time in the hands of Darren Turner, Stefan Mucke and Rob Bell, while the Abu-Dhabi Proton Porsche claimed the top spot in the GTE Am class.
