Nico Hulkenberg has been handed the initiative at the front of the 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours, after the #7 Audi suffers bodywork damage and spends nearly seven minutes in the pits receiving repairs.

Marcel Fassler had almost been on equal terms with Hulkenberg at the front of the race until aerodynamic pieces on his Audi R18 e-tron quattro flew off the rear of the car. As a result, Fassler has dropped two laps behind the leaders while Hulkenberg holds a three minute advantage over Rene Rast in the #9 Audi.
