Porsche continues to inch closer to a historic Le Mans 24 Hours victory as it firmed up its 1-2 position at the end of hour 19, with the #19 car still leading by more than a lap.

In the hands of Nick Tandy, the #19 Porsche has maintained its crucial lap advantage, despite the attentions of the on track #7 Audi, which rather boisterously managed to get itself down from two laps behind to just a single lap with a contentious pass right at the end of a slow zone.

Nonetheless, the Audi remains in fourth place behind the #9 machine being driven by Rene Rast at the moment, while Timo Bernhard in the #17 Porsche has stretched clear in second by setting the car's fastest lap of the race in his stint.

Having dominated from the start, the KCMG team suffered a scare when its Oreca came to a halt at Arnage with apparent technical issues. Able to get away again, fortunately for the Hong Kong team, its large lead means it is still a minute clear from the second place G-Drive Ligier, while the JOTA Gibson is up to third now.

The GT Pro class, meanwhile, continues to entertain, with the #64 Corvette and #51 Ferrari even going wheel-to-wheel out of the pit lane at one point, before the Corvette pulled clear and into a relatively slim, but otherwise comfortable lead with 5 hours remaining.
