Former Manor F1 driver Roberto Merhi is set to fill in for team-mate Will Stevens at Le Mans 24 Hours who is stepping in for G-Drive after it split with Nathanael Berthon.
The switches were sparked after Berthon separated from the JOTA Sport-run G-Drive entry just three weeks until Le Mans 24 Hours, forcing a late search for a replacement driver alongside Rene Rast and Roman Rosinov.
Stevens has duly been loaned to the #26 G-Drive Racing entry by Manor, for Le Mans only, which has left a gap in the British team's driver line-up for its #44 car at the prestigious endurance event.
Merhi, who drivers the #45 Manor in the World Endurance Championship, will therefore switch to the sister Manor car with only the #44 entered for Le Mans.
The ex-F1 driver will team-up with Matthew Rao and Tor Graves for Manor at this month's event until Stevens returns to the #44 and Merhi reverts back to the #45.
