Le Mans 24 Hours: 19H: Toyota resisting Porsche charge

Toyota has held on to its one-two front-running order with the #2 Porsche continuing to slowly reel in the leaders for a thrilling finale.
Toyota has held on to its one-two front-running order with the #2 Porsche continuing to slowly reel in the leaders for a thrilling final five hours.

The front three have held station in the past hour with Sebastien Buemi keeping a 25-second advantage over team-mate Mike Conway in the #6 Toyota. At the top of the hour the #2 Porsche is looking own the rear wing of Conway's car as it hunts the overall victory.

In LMP2 the #36 Signatech Alpine has maintained its lead over the fast charging Rene Rast in the #26 G-Drive with rookie Gustavo Menezes at the wheel. Strakka has also enjoyed an impressive middle third of the race to rise up to third in class with Jonny Kane at the wheel.

Risi Competizione Ferrari is still being hounded by the two Ford GT machine with #68's Joey Hand less than five second behind Maurizio Malucelli with the #69 with Ryan Briscoe in the sister Ford.

In GTE-AM Townsend Bell is lining up a classy victory for Scuderia Corsa Ferrari with a lap lead on its nearest challenger Abu Dhabi-Proton Racing Porsche.
