Don't think so Pasta. The whole point of the design is to reduce drag. Putting the front wheels wide apart would increase drag. People keep banging on about how it can't turn with the wheels so close together. This is nonsense. Initial testing proved the theory that it turns quite nicely. While not quite the same, a motorcycle turns pretty good on ONE narrow front tire doesn't it? Wings also add a lot of drag too, so no to that as well. I do like your idea of a motorcycle riding position, that has been proposed in the past for indy car. Not sure how safe that would be.
Oh, and Colin Chapman designed a lot of ugly cars!
