Aerodynamicist Eghbal Hamedy has walked out on the Stewart team just weeks before its new car is due hit the tracks.
Hamedy apparently quit after a disagreement with the Milton Keynes outfit's design team, and is believed to have felt undermined by the arrival of Gary Anderson from Jordan. The Irishman has already made his mark on Stewart by effecting changes to the as yet un-run SF-3.
A replacement has not been named for Hamedy - who joined Stewart in 1996 - and little comment was forthcoming from the team. Hamedy has been linked with a position at Jordan, but this rumour is thought to be wide of the mark.
