MX1, MX2 racing numbers announced, Townley 101

Rider racing numbers for the 2010 MX1 and MX2 Motocross World Championships have been announced.

Note that Antonio Cairoli will not run the #1 plate, while former MX2 world champion Ben Townley is listed in the MX1 class, indicating that the Kiwi plans on returning to Europe for at least a partial season depending on his AMA plans.

Meanwhile countryman and former MX1 title runner-up, Josh Coppins, has joined Aprilia for 2010...

    It doesn't surprise me that Townley is back europe because he's was out of the last two AMA SX and MX seasins with injuries. Hopefully he'll be back in good form for GP's, but I highly doubt that he will get a ride in U.S. for this year.
