Former championship leader Max Nagl is to make his return to racing at Sunday's GP at Mantova in Italy, two months after breaking his leg in qualifying at the German GP at Teutschenthal.

The German crashed and was hit by a following rider in the spill, and had to have surgery to repair the break. At the time, Nagl was the leader in the world championship. He tried to make a comeback after a month but the injury was too painful.

It's not yet known when injured world champ Tony Cairoli will make his return but it's highly unlikely to be at Mantova on Sunday.
