Jonny Walker loses out to Cody Webb in Tennessee

KTM's all conquering extreme enduro rider Jonny Walker finally got beaten in what has been a stunning season for the British rider. Walker took the flight over to Tennessee to compete in the fifth annual Knockout event, but two-time winner Cody Webb managed to get the better of him in the gruelling and intense event.

Walker battled hard in the unfamiliar surroundings, with competition coming not only from Webb but also another KTM pilot Taylor Robert, veteran Mike Brown, Colton Haaker and Cory Graffunder. By the final stages of the event, Walker was beginning to visibly tire in the intense racing and high temperatures and Webb was able to stretch out enought of a lead to defeat the UK rider

This was Webb's third win in a row at the TKO, and combined with his 2014 AMA EnduroCross championship, shows him to be the strongest extreme enduro rider in the 'States right now.

“I had chills running down my back from the fatigue", said Webb. "I know that Jonny felt a little sick the last few days and also had to deal with jetlag, so I am happy that I was I was able to take the win. This is definitely right up there with the biggest wins I have ever had with all of the tough riders that showed up for this event”.

Walker was disappointed to not get the win but liked the format. “This race was shorter than most of the races that I do but the intensity was very high”, said Walker. “I will definitely be back next year looking to get the win.”

Webb's result complete a KTM domination of the event, with four of the top five riding orange.

3. Taylor Robert – KTM
4. Mike Brown – Husqvarna
5. Cory Graffunder – KTM
