Factory KTM rider Dean Wilson has been confirmed as the third rider in the British Motocross of Nations squad at Ernee in France on September 27. He'll be riding a 450 KTM in the Open class, and will be joining Shaun Simpson on his 450 KTM in MXGP and Max Anstie on the Cosworth Kawasaki KXF250 in MX2. It's the first time for several years that the squad is without Tommy Searle, who is currently recovering from broken ribs.

Wilson returned to racing in the AMA 450 Motocross series two weeks ago at Unadilla following a lengthy knee injury. The American-based Scotsman finished fifth in the second moto at Utah on Saturday, proving his pace is getting back to normal.

Simpson and Anstie were confirmed by team manager Neil Prince at the end of June, while the remaining big-bike slot was left unfilled while the performances of Wilson, Searle and other potential riders was evaluated.
