Goncalves back in MXGP on new Husky team

Former Red Bull KTM man gets to stay Husky for 2016 in MXGP
By Adam Duckworth

One day after posting a mystery shot of him testing a new 2016-spec Husky at a private test track, Portugal's top racer Rui Goncalves has announced he's signed for an all-new MXGP team that will race Husqvarnas next season.

He'll be back in GPs for the new Italian 8Biano Massignani Husky team who have also hired regular GP team personnel Giuseppe Tropepe and Filippo Grigoletto. It's believed Davide de Bortoli will be named as his team-mate but it's uncertain whether they'll race every round or just European GPs. Massignani was a Honda team last year and Bortoli rode for them then.

Last season 30-year-old Goncalves, a previous MX2 GP runner-up when he rode for Red Bull KTM, raced for the Italian Ricci Racing Husky team but got badly hurt at the British GP in May.
