2007 MX1/MX2 world championship calendar

The FIM has released the following 15-round calendar for the 2007 MX1 and MX2 Motocross world championships.

The season will start in Benelux on April 1 and conclude in Bulgaria on September 9, before the Motocross of Nations, at Budds Creek in the USA, on September 23.

Two events are still to confirm their location – the British Grand Prix (previously held at Matterley Basin, which has come under fire for poor organisation at the 2006 Motocross of Nations) and the Northern Ireland Grand Prix (previously held at Desertmartin).

Stefan Everts and Christophe Pourcel won the 2006 MX1 and MX2 championships respectively – Everts has now retired, with a record breaking ten world titles, while Pourcel will return to defend his crown.
