Or, looked at another way - in the first 2 years of head-to-head competition with Rossi with both on factory bikes, Stoner has won 16 races to Rossi's 13 and scored 17.97 points per start on average to Rossi's 17.05. Rossi has 11 seasons of world championship racing under his belt, 8 of those on factory machines with the best crew chief in history. They are BOTH exceptional motorcycle racers and those who drag either of them down are no more than blindly jealous, utterly prejudiced fanboy wastes of time.

Hey! The kid's quick no doubt! 2009 will be hard for Vale! but I am not sure if Stoners warrior mettle is at it's peak yet 1-2 more years battling Valentino and he will be unstoppable!
Valentino World Champion 2009...talent and experience!

I hope he does get to full season, it will make for good season. God knows he needs to be 100% to have a chance against VR, who I'm sure will continue to show Stoner the meaning of racecraft oon his way to the 2009WC

as usual he is fast so what he was fast all 2008 season. Maybe this is his problem just overdoing it maybe he needs to play it cool and not show his ace everytime.
Im glad to see Vale up there fast and working hard due to his hand and foot. He will defenetly be hard too beat 2009 as usual

Roll on qatar :)

Stoner would get alot more respect if he could just stop whining, he does it even when he's on top of the time sheet. When 'fit' he'll be a second a lap quicker than everyone else then...

Since Casey is a talentless git and the bike is the best out there, hence him being quickest.
Those poor other Ducati riders are going to be pyschologically screwed mid season, they will be asking the question what's wrong with me - all I have to do is hold the throttle wide open and the bike does the rest...apparently..LOL...

I'm not a fan of Casey Stoner but I disagree with that. If he's only fast because the bike is the best out there then how come Melandri wasn't putting in the same times as Casey?? If he didn't have talent he wouldn't be in MotoGP in the first place.

Casey is such a odd ball sometimes. :p

He's a world champion, on arguably the best bike (acceleration/torque) - and says it's a 'dream' to be fastest?

A world champion SHOULD be the fastest, unless he's on a Kawasaki/Suzuki/Tech 3.

Casey says these things to sound uber confident and worry the competition, but just comes out looking ****y!

A shame, as I'm sure he's a lovely guy, just a bit unsure how to 'word things' in public.

He has the same language skills as Lewis Hamilton. Awesome talent, but doesn't 'filter' words for public consumption.

I really hope the hand heals good...
three fast laps don't win a race.
Rossi looks as good as it can get so if hes not 110% don't even bother to show up.
hope we have a close interesting season.
good luck Stony hope you heal... you'll need it :)
