"Is Herve Poncharal saying his involvement in Moto2 means Tech 3 creating a new team or moving his team from MotoGP?"

Did you even read the article? He clearly explained that a tech 3 moto2 team would primarily exist to compliment his motogp outfit. So obviously his MotoGP team remains.

Great to hear such a positive view on a satellite team's role. It's tough on everyone in a team turning up each time knowing there is such a slim chance of success. When it comes though - it'll be sweet!

Although it will be a sad day when 250's disappear I am pleased that Poncharal is looking how Moto2 can be used to facilitate a stronger MotoGP future. It needs proactive thinking like this and hopefully he and other influential people in the paddock will be able to head off the inevitable Dorna detrimental meddling and produce something of both value and spectacle.

As much as I'll miss the 250's, this new series is looking like being the most interesting and exciting part of a motogp weekend. If Kenny Roberts, Ilmor, Moriwaki, Tech3, KTM and others get involved by building bikes with immense corner speed and equal engines. Then stick the 125 and various domestic championship riders onboard, it's going to be awesome!

This is great news.

I was ready to shead that tear for the deaths of the srtokers, and I still will, however I'll welcome to Moto2 class with open arms.

With all the goings on in the MotoGP class, this new Moto2 might be the savor of the sport.

I think this Moto2 could be a great success, it should replace the 125 and 250 classes and then put all the riders/manufactures in the Moto2 class. It would be like a WSBK grid with plenty of riders in each race.

Sticho - I don't think there will be a problem with getting full grids for Moto2.
