It seems a lot of you are anti Bulgaria. We have the finest craftsmen on the planet, the most scintillating scenery and every women you see in Sofia is has both supermodel looks AND is well up for it.

Please, come enjoy our hospitality, watch the MotoGP race hear and lay back with a coke and a smile. Spark up a fat one - we are liberal.

You will soon see that a land who can produce Hristo Stoichkov can put on the worlds most spectacular show, unlike you western european pandered plump fools and your ex-airfield crap.

Has Dorna spoken to the maufacturers about this?, we've half lost Kawasaki, Suzuki looks shakey and now they're adding more rounds.
This seems crazy, wasn't Dorna trying to cut costs?

I might be showing my ignorance here, but does Bulgaria even have a GP circuit?

doesn't Bulgaria have enough big problems other than hosting an event that costs a fortune? I hope this is a joke, else we will see Somalia bidding hard too.

It's probably part of a plan to increase their currency reserves from the sale of bikes stolen during the race weekends.

It's not for a few years, article says 2012-2016, hopefully the economy has picked back up by that point. Besides that, further cost reduction rules are going to be put in place for 2010 which will presumably free up some money to travel to another track. Not only that, but one or more tracks might be dropped by 2012 (I don't know how many years all the various tracks have contracts for). One tracks contract ends, a new tracks contract begins - it's not hard to understand. One gets replaced by the other.

To those of you dissing Bulgaria, by the time 2012 gets here there's a significant chance it will be no richer or poorer than the rest of Europe. The world is going to be rather flat economically once the dust starts settling on the financial crisis.

Please give us back a South American round Dorna before adding more European races to the calendar. Considering the spanish influence, I'm suprised you aren't doing this. Quiero Sud America ora!!!

nobody here has yet menioned the obvious reason for this new round - cost cutting. Possible eliminating an overseas round for another european round means less travelcost, plus Bulgaria is a lot cheaper than most other countries that currently host races.

It is next to Turkey, Istanbul. Neighbors of Greece and Romania next to the Black sea. Neighbors to Serbia which means Iraq, Iran and Israel. Hey maybe we could gather interest from Hamas that they could Sponsor a Rider. The war will be over and we could transfer all the metal detectors to the Hamas Paddock.
