Wow, after some people have over 40 laps... Rossi has a lie-in, gets on track and blitzes everyone by 0.4 of a second after 12 laps! - this is at 2.15pm...

The Yamahas are flying - except JT. And Nicky is still off Casey who is blazing!. Both JT and Nicky are about a sec off their teammates - not insurmountable but definitely could improve.

1. Rossi - 1.40.840
2. Edwards - 1.40.850
3. Vermulen - 1.41.165
4. Stoner - 1.41.417
5. Lorenzo - 1.41.597
6. Caparossi - 1.41.676

Rossi and Edwards seem to be going faster and faster, Stoner is doing the usual burst of 3-4 laps then coming in, although saying that, no one has done a really long run of laps, Rossi's longest is 7.

It's very close but they're way off the fastest times from 2008, the track is probably still improving after the rain this morning..

maybe if CE let JT follow his line and teach JT how to properly ride the M1...and maybe JT can get to within half a second of CE's pace...JT is too slow. he won't even be competitive in WSBK now cuz Spies will just runaway with the title

I predict that Colin Edwards will win his first and possibly his last MotoGP race this year, he is so fired up that he'll find that extra tenth to prove to one and all that he is quicker and better than Toseland.
