I'm glad most bike racing fans aren't like the majority of people using these forums... Why hate everyone apart from your particular favorite? It amazes me people will say "...... WILL WIN!", how do you know? A premonition? An all seeing eye? It's a trait of football hooliganism that I really don't want to see in our great sport. All the riders respect each other so why don't you?

One minute it's the bike, then it's his wrist, now they were too confident.

Stoner looks very fast, but last season he pretty much topped the time sheets everywhere and how many race wins did he come away with...6 or 7?

Laguna Seca, Brno and Misano, were all perfect examples of what happens to him when he gets put under pressure, ok it took some amazing riding from Rossi, but it show's he has a weakness, i don't think it's something that'll fixed by a good winter testing, also who know's how hard Rossi was pushing throughout the tests.

Nothing away from stoner, he's lightning fast, but lets not get ahead of ourselves and say he's going to walk away with the championship.

Roll on Sunday!

So the first race of the season is almost here. I actually like Casey's announcement and it is obvious that he learns from the past. I think this year will be even bigger battle between Vale and him. And I have no idea who will come out victorious. HOpefully their bikes will more or less be on the same technical level and their racing decided by the rider's abilities rather than the sheer power of the particular bike.

I am obviously no Casey fan, but this is motorcycle racing. The rider will always be the most important element no matter the level of technical development. Casey is fast everywhere, he just needs to prepare himself for the head games.

QUOTE: ...just tell me one race that rossi started from pole and finished 1st!,,tell me how many races stoner did it? :rolleyes:stoner is a fast man but not a racer. :p"

Rossi works his way through the pack because he has sh*t starts and isn't the very best at qualifying. You're actually discrediting Rossi because you're implying that he either can't make pole, or can't maintain position when he does.

QUOTE Jimmy Mansi: "One minute it's the bike, then it's his wrist, now they were too confident."

They were too confident LAST year.
His wrist is bugging him this year.
