Hey Duke ee why dont you tell me how cs went from 0 wins when he rode for honda,10 the next with duc. By the way i think stoner is ok rider, but to say hes more then that is just stupid. Now rossi hes got nothing else to prove, still until he retires in 5 6 years not 2 he will be a thorn in cs side.In that time i see rossi winning at least 2 or 3 more wc.

it's all well and good talking up the rossi/stoner show but don't you think we should be praying some other teams will step up too the plate!!!then we could really enjoy the fireworks maybe even get "52"in the show that will get the beer flowing

I was just asking a question, Duke. I thought it was a question that needed to be asked, because I didnt no the answer. Now I know that I was wrong and need to "get a life", but just to amuse me, can you answer the question? If not, then shut up and stop bothering me!!!

Stoner did ok on a satelite honda. He finished third or fourth from what I can remember. Not bad for a rookie year. If the duke is all that makes stoner fast then what is the story with melandri and hayden? Stoner gains most time on rossion corner entry and not on the straights (on most tracks) according to rossi's crew chief. But still you all are saying stoner can only go in a straight line? I think stoner is a bollix but a great rider. Without him last season would have been pretty dull and we would not have had great races like laguna.

Nigel Tasker is my hero.

nice post.

I enjoy wading through the banter, and creating some. If you don't enjoy the passion posters have for the sport, their team.brand.rider.manager.favorite Poster hero, then move along.

It would be nice if I could get more posts on a page to scroll through faster though...

coyote do you want an answer?first of all have you actually seen the lap times on the race.Rossi's pace was just two or three tenths slower and those tenths were in the parts of the track where stoner or any other rider could make a pass so when you and others talk about stoner's "far superior pace" or "huge advantage" you are simply not correct. Finishing, laguna seca is not the best place for overtakings, especially when you ride a ducati and the other guy rides a yamaha, a bike that was better than ducati in stability and brakes. So, that's your answer.I'm excepting a response . Sorry for my english

Really should be Big Edjit, Stoner had excellent results on a non factory Honda in his 1st year motogp, that is why he got a job in the Duc factory team. His obvious weakness was a lack of maturity ie crashing too often but the raw results were very good. Forgot who said you can teach a fast guy to not crash but not a slow guy who does not crash to become fast.

TC aint really a new thing I remember Gazza saying "Yeah at the end of the race when it slips too much you just flick the switch" that was still on 500cc

Obviously CS has not yet achived what VR has, give him time he may or may not. none the less he is a world class rider that has always been fast, in any category on any bike.

Big E......Yawn !!! Same old crap again. think and say what you like coz it just goes to show what a child you are. Every rider out there is better than average, but you seem to be blind to that.
The trouble is with people like you on this site that bag riders is that everything you say has been said a million times do yourself and the rest of the genuine people here and talk about racing and riders without your bullsh1t slagging.

Interesting to note that some posters still cling to the notion that Rossi's win at Laguna was due to his "superior racecraft".
In fact the two reasons he won were:
a) race direction's inexplicable decision not to penalise him for illegaly re-entering the track at turn 8A after losing control (stunning racecraft that) and running off at the exit of turn 8.
b) stoner and ducati's sporting decision not to protest rossi's actions...
