Rossi is still on the backfoot, Stoner is seemingly able to string fast laps together easily - That's the scary thing. This year will be 07 all over again.

The only thing more retarded than standard Rossi fans are american Rossi fans. Laguna Seca was one freakin race, that was awesome until Stoner ran wide. All the Rossi fanboys refer to it in their time of need. Rossi didn't decimate Stoner, and if Stoner stayed on track, he may have won.

All this talk of Rossi's superior racecraft is BS and you all seem to have short memories. Catalunya 07 was a better race than Laguna 08 but you losers don't mention it. Look it up, watch it, it was great.

MOTOGP » Stoner: Good straight away

Casey Stoner’s perfect pre-season form translated into a relatively unchallenged first position during Friday practice for the 2009 MotoGP season opener at Qatar.

Casey is really good, but he is not the best--yet. He is definatly one of the bravest riders of all time which is why he is so often the fastest--kinda like James Stuart in MX. James wins 100% of the races he does not crash in. Any numbers on Caseys win to crashless ratio??

Great to see the BBC have got their on-line season off to a flyer - no updates or information on first practice yet.
Does this herald an equally diligent attitude towards their TV coverage?

Some of the racers attain 208mph on the straight. That must be amazing. I haven't gone any faster than 150mph. But, let's face it, if you want to go fast in a straight line you might as well use an automobile.

Great showing again by Casey. Pity he is stuck on such a dog of a bike. I'd love to see what he could do on a Yamaha which is clearly the best bike out there.
Maybe he should join Bayliss and Rossi in the rumoured superbike showdown - he'd probably kick both their @sses.

Before you all get carried away folks remember that Fridays times count for nothing (except boosting ego's) It's todays times (qualifiying) that matter!

Look back to Laguna Seca,Rossi/Burgess always manage to find a "extra" something come raceday. Person who impressed me the most was Marco...

Re: BBC coverage/website, well what can be said that hasn't already? Ballsport will ALWAYS come before motorsport.
