Although Nicky has under impressed me even in his title win year, he has shown a willingness to work hard and the ability to learn. Off the bike you gotta love him because he gives great interview. IMO he will do better than those who preceded him and with lots less crying.

Ah well. Not the ideal start, but obviously better today than Sunday.

C'mon Nicky! I'll be happy each race you finish above the Hondas.

With the shortening to just one 45min friday sessions, if you don't come out of the box with a good set up, it's gonna be very difficult to find time this year for anyone - especially for Hayden who is on a new bike. I don't expect him to do more than break into the top 10 on race day.

think his ass sensor was telling him to clutch his balls.

That's a fair point, RawDawg. What do you think the odds are that Casey and Nicky will swap data/settings and generally help each other out this year?

Swaping data/setting is one thing but making them work is another! Riding styles and preferences may make them worthless to each other - we'll see.....

it's likely that they share data. i'm not sure that nicky could use much of stoners settings aside from gearing and electronics, i believe there weight is far enough apart that suspension settings wouldn't help.

I have always wished for Nicky to do well. Bit my nails on his way to his championship. Despaired when he consistently faded from the front runners as races winded down. Now I am just wondering how long before his team mate rides by shaking his head as he did with Melandri. :(

At least he won't lose time messing around Q tyres. Q session will be efectively practice session with 2 or 3 flying laps in the end.

C'mon Nicky! :)

Oh, I wasn't trying to imply that their teamwork will overcome the problems. I phrased that poorly.

I was genuinely asking for your feedback on their teamwork, RawDawg, because, as far as I can tell, you're probably the most sensible/knowledgeable poster on these forums.

I take your point that it's no substitute for Nicky having time to set up proper, though.
