The action of a full race packed into 13 laps. Superb from Barbera, Cluzel, Di Meglio and De Rosa and about as good for Simoncelli's championship as it could be.

Absolutely stunning performance from Jules Cluzel, who ran in 125s in 2008, did the full season and didn't score a single point!

The team - Matteoni Racing - have previously been runners-up in the 125 championship and introduced one M. Melandri to world championship racing over a decade ago, but haven't had any notable success recently. They ran Antony West a couple of years ago (as 'Team Sicilia') which amounted to very little, and had been in the "have-nots" half of the 250 field recently.

Today's result was one of the biggest upsets I've ever seen, a truly brilliant performance by massive underdogs - not something we see often! :D

The corner speed of Inspector Clouseau was stunning. I don't know why this kid is unsponsored after a ride like that. Kudos to the other Frenchman too. DeMeglio also rode an excellent race to take third in his debut season on 250s. Lets hope the new GP2 class is as exciting as this race was.

Cluzel did a smashing performance considering his previous results - his best apparently was 10th in a 250cc race. It is great when a total underdog - unknown by most - goes and challenges a rider like Hector Barbera to the race win. Phenomenal.

Best race of the weekend.Poncharal's expression on BBC feed at Cluzel's victory was priceless.Bautista & Talmacsi disappeared in that race???

Can't believe Barbera has only won 2 races on a 250...strange.Seems as though he's been around for ages.Di Meglio was a class act too.

The smaller classes are far more intriguing than the Moto Gp class...
That might be a controversial opinion on this forum.Wish Motegi was this weekend.
