You know kinda what Haga did to ben in Valencia 2 weeks ago xcept it was his @ss he was handed. You are right about one thing though brits hate being beaten where as obviously where you come from love being rolled over and t-bagged.. as they say no one like a quiter!! :D

MOTOGP » Edwards fights to fourth, Toseland contact

Colin Edwards made things difficult for himself with a poor getaway in Monday night’s Qatar season-opener, but mounted an impressive comeback to claim fourth position - while contact with Toni Elias sent team-mate James Toseland through the gravel.

Toseland's riding tactics last year are coming home to roost, no rider will be the slightest bit concerned what James thinks about being run into.

A 12 place gap between team mates is very hard to explain. The bike is clearly not far off the factory yamahas. Toseland really needs consistant top 6 finishes if he wants to stay in MotoGP next year.

"We tried a different front-end setting for the race to try and solve some stability issues I've been having"

Stability issues? Really? Doesn't sound like (or look like for that matter) the back stabbing of his teammate to get said teammate's chief mechanic is paying off at all............

fine race by the elder statesman Colin. There will come a point that the teams support for JT will evaporate if he doesn't get his finger out.

It's kind of a shame that Yamaha doesn't have a really good, young rider in WSBK to take Toseland's MotoGP ride next year.

Ooops.....

No it isnt, "a collision followed by riding through the gravel". There we go, explained!

Get off JT's back, hes come of the back of 2 massive high sides which wud probably have had most people on here in hospital for weeks on morphine.

As for CE's result, its a good one, i'll admit that, i'm a fan of Colin's but unfortunatly race 1 is always gd for colin as is pre season, its the rest of the season where his results get worse and worse.

JT should just sit down and have a chat with Edward or finish the season out of top 10, Edward knows that bike better than him and he developed it he surely knows whats best for the bike! if i were JT i would apologize to Edward and end that stupid rivalry, he wont be in yamaha next year he keeps performing like that,Simoncelli or Baustista will get that ride, heaps up JT :)

I am a JT fan but gotta say CE 1 JT 0.. Move on now JT to motegi and concentrate on YOUR riding it is no-body's fault now but your own,or colin will continue this and very soon tech 3 will be signing Simoncelli faster than you can say WSBK return!! ANy consilation the race was pap and the scheme of the season means next to nothing!!

I really like JT, but he is a rider that has lost his confidence. Riders who win at this level never lose their confidence, they allways think they are the sh*t. JT seems to not be mentaly strong enough for Moto GP. I think he has the physical tools, but his days at the top level are numbered. Spies will take his place next year. Sorry JT, you seem like a nice guy, but WSBK is your home. I wish him all the best, but I don't feel for him. He's still a better rider than 99.9% of the riders out there, and he's has avery nice lifestyle.
