I agree with Stoner. Everybody has access to the same compounds, so no excuses. I know Rossi doesn't make excuses, but he's not going to get special tires made overnight like he used to. Time to leave the skirts at home boys, it's not an easy championship and at the moment Casey is a man on a mission.

Yesterday Shanghai F1 was truly extraordinary! For the first time I don't want to leave my television watching F1.. Fantastic race I have to say..

I hope Sunday Motegi MotoGP brings us more excitement than F1 that for a long time has been labeled "boring"..!

Seems as if Casey has matured a lot more this season and is starting to speak freely with the press.....at least no one can now say its the tyres why he or Rossi won

This sounds just a bit as if one guy is preparing excuses.

I think that it is hard to say that everyone is on the same tyre so everyone has the same advantage/disadvantage. Apart from the fact that there are two different compounds, two tyres coming out of the same batch may have slightly different characteristics. I know that the process of making the tyres will be more stringent than when making tyres for the road but there will still be anomalies that are hard to detect until the rider actually gets out there and uses them.

Chad M - i don't think you will find Rossi had special tyres made over night last year either as he was on Bridgestoens then too !
Michelin used to i know, but Bridgestone didn't and couldn't last year.

Realitybites - i take it you are having a dig at Rossi ... i don't think you will find he needs to make excuses and it isn't a post over our preferences ref rider anyway , just two riders viewpoints on the tyre situation.
However , to redress the balance shall we mention the Casey wrist occasional problem !!

Good chance of a decent race this weekend. With a bit of luck the start will go well for both and then a true test of how well the ducati, Yamaha and bridgestone all work.

Rossi shredded badly in qatar and ducati look fairly healthy at the end. if same happens this weekend then rossi has a big problem

If he comes second and tyres on both bikes equally bad/good then we have a lot to look forward too.

Although everyone is on the same tires, there seems to be a few quality control issues.

This was raised last year by Ducati(and not taken seriously) and more recently by Fiat Yamaha(and now of course, taken very seriously).

Bridgestone need to sort this out, it would be a tragedy if the championship is decided by a dodgy tire.

The BS stops when the flag drops. Suck it up Rossi. You're better then that.
