Dont get too comfortable in P1 Vale... you will be P2 for the rest of the weekend, especially if it rains. Vermy might even have you in the wet... Then in a few weeks you can tell us that nothing else matters but the race again...

Valentino Rossi admitted it felt good to be back on top of the MotoGP timesheets, after edging out Casey Stoner by just 0.056sec during free practice at Motegi on Friday.

:) No doubt that to be on top again matters. These two seem to have the same pace which is good for the race. However, it is too early for any judgments. They will probably shave another 1.5 sec tomorrow.

It doesn't really matter if Rossi qualify in 2nd position or 3rd, as long as he can manage a good start.. that's crucial.

But I can't remember when he had one, if he started in 1st position usually being push back down to 3rd or 4th at the end of the first lap. And only shows his superior ability from there on, he can't repeat this tradition anymore otherwise Stoner gone in distance.

Never seen Rossi so jubilant to be fastest at the first practice session. Don't tell me Stoner is in his head.

why are people having ago at rossi for being fastest, him and casey are close together and will be all year and hopefully this is an indication for a good race.
