No, forget De Puniet. Performance of the day was from Melandri.

Casey might not have won but excellent to see an Aussie win anyway. Great job Jeremy Burgess, you gave the others a master class yet again. Forget Hondas, Suzukis, Ducatis ... if there was a bike called a Burgess we'd all buy one.

Oh good job Rossi too :)

Good coverage by the Beeb, both the run up to the race and the race itself.
I always watch the BBC (I watch Eurosport later, I can't stand Toady and the fat man. I thought they had been sacked :?)

I heard that the engineers at Yamaha wanted JB to use a different setting on Sat to the one he & Vale wanted. He might have been sandbagging to prove a point. They had a bit of an arguement, went back to JB's setting & next thing he wins the race.

JB & Vale 1 - Yamaha 0

And you believe it yourself? :p

I like the bigging up Jeremy Burgess angle though that seems to run through these threads, keep it up. If that gives you something to celebrate, be my guest!
He's an excellent engineer. :)

Hey Waz...how u doing!!
Hey did you not realize that with Rossi, it's not the bike it's the Rider man. How often does he have to prove it. You see it man...I know you do. Look at the state Honda is in. The bike is not winning. Hahahahahaha!!!.
Maybe Casey is the reverse. Do you think that Casey lost today because it was the bike and not the rider. Which one you think WAZ? Was it Casey or was the Duc. LOL.

To me BBC really sucks :? I watched Motegi race on both BBC and Eurosport1 channel videos. BBC makes it as if they don't have time to cover the entire race (podium). I don't like much of those commentators too, Eurosport2 group simply rock :D

But I didn't watch Jerez race, shall post on that later.

Forget the BBC , Eurosport is where it's at and always will be. Brilliant commentary the BBC will be up to.

@Dray

Rossi and his bike came first. Stoner and his bike came third. That's all that needs to be said. It takes a bike AND a rider to get over the finish line.

Rossi is a legend.

I think one thing that has been overlooked was Rossis start, which was again excellent. As good as Stoners, only losing a bit to the proven missile of Pedrosas. Hes clearly paying more attention to the starts when it has become evident that the races can be decided in the first three laps if you get stuck and Pedrosa or Stoner get to do their thing in clear air.
