Sorry but this guy is yesterdays news. He spent 3 winless seasons in MotoGP. He was clearly the number 2 rider to Capirossi when was in the factory Ducati MotoGP team and did little to impress on the RC211V, a proven package. Sounds like a courtesy ride to me. Another world superbike champion who underperformed in MotoGP. If this is Ducati's hope to improve the desomsedici, I'm afraid they will be disappointed.

Great news. Love the guy, fantastic motorcyclist if anybody can get the best out a a Ducati this guy can.Has taken his knocks like a man not like that wee whinger Stoner. He was in my humble opinion the best rider Ducati has ever had and whats more I think they know that to. He might be 40 years old but all good drinks come in aged kegs. Heres to you Troy retired/fired your still the best. :) :)

the motogp fanboys seem worried. bet they said it was luck when bayliss won the valencian gp, after two years off the bike, and showed, in addition to haydons wins, that a bike is a bike.

WATCH THE VALENCIA GP THAT BAYLISS WON AND YOU'LL NOTICE THAT HAYDEN COULD HAVE CATCH THE GUY AND MOST LIKELY BEAT HIM, BUT NICKY DROP HE'S PACE TO BE SAFE SINCE VALENTINO HAD NO CHANCE OF CATCHING HIM. NO DOUBT THAT BAYLISS IS A GRATE RACER BUT I DON'T THINK HE CAN HANG WITH THE GP GUYS, THAT HAS BEEN PROVEN.

GONICKY you are a fool.
Troy has won on a ducati in motogp something hayden will never do. by the way that race nicky came in 4th or 5th some 9 seconds or so behind troy.
also troy led more laps in that 1 ride than your mr. consistency led all season.

SORRY TO SAY THIS BUT YOU ARE TALKING OUTOFF YOUR ASS HAYDEN FINISH SECOND ONLY TO BAYLISS IN VALENCIA 06 AND NOT BY 9 SECONDS. WATCH THE RACE IN YOUTUBE AND YU'LL SEE THAT HAYDEN DROP THE PACE TO BE SAFE.

He is just a BIG JOKE.Me and my brother always got entertained when ever he rode-ran wide -got no line-just a joke.He is such a waste that he used to have a Hand brake on a motogp bike.I knew he will never accept rossi's chalange because he will be lapped. But love him as a joke.....

The joke is on you as Bayliss was not hand fed from a silver spoon and certainly earned his titles the honest way.Rossi is the farce of bike racing getting exclusive equpment, rules changed, discretions overlooked and on it goes.Pathetic.

Don't quote me on this, but I think I read somewhere that Mick Doohan used a hand break. Probably just another joke. He is an Aussie.

Well I went back and looked at the 2006 race and FOR SURE....Nicky Hayden was right up on Troy Bayliss. Once he saw that Rossi P20 sign from his crew that meant Rossi had crashed. He immediately backed it off and allowed Troy to cruise to a worthless victory. Once Rossi crashed, Nicky immediately was gifted the Championship and had no need, but to win just finish the race safely. With that said Troy won the Last race in the season where the outcome was really not important anymore, since the WC was known as Nicky Hayden. Sorry to cheapen Troy Bayliss ONE (1) WIN in MOTOGP, but He rode to a victory by himself. Avery Cheap Cheap Cheap Victory to CROW about. LMAO..LOL.LOL.Muhahahahahahah CHEAP!

Hey Eddie I hate to tell you... no I think I'll like telling you this, you're talking out YOUR ass. Hayden in came third in VALENCIA 06, and it's one thing to catch someone, it's another to pass them. Especially someone like Bayliss who enjoys scraping, and I'm sure he felt he had something to prove and nothing to loose.

Am I right to say that the Ducati was sorted By Caporossi then Melandri as the number one riders.
Stoner was hired as second string. Why is it now that all the problems of the Ducati are because the second choice rider allegedly cant sort the bike out for others. What input came from the other riders.Bayless Gibbers! Who next? Perhaps others should have faith in Stoners settings. I think Mika does
