If Bradders came from Germany would he still get British support ? If my Gran rode in GP's and wore a Union Jack would she get support dispite having no skill on a bike ? Are we supporting the rider or some strange identity link to anyone who comes from the same country ? Surely support the rider who brings pleasure to the spectator. As for God(?)saving queens - what the hell has the queen done for me, you or Bradders ? Bradley was superb nevertheless.

Reply to Britain rules - how biased are you? I am british, but live in South Africa - I support Bradley in the 125's Alvaro in the 250's and Valentino in the Motogp. So that is british, spanish and italian. I support the riders that can ride no matter what nationality they are. I was also very proud and near tears to see Bradley standing on the top stair singing the british national anthem and I am sure he is proud to sing it. Please keep politics, nationality and other unrelated topics out of motor bike racing

Sashatazz. I think my comments set the ball rolling so to speak.
You seem to follow my thought processes suggesting one should support any rider irrespective of their nationality, which I think is spot on. Rightly you say we should keep politics, nationality out of motor bike racing this is exactly why I questioned the non-sensical singing of national anthems and foolish nation flag waving - it has nothing to do with bike racing. Lets keep this nonsense out of our beloved sport. This section is about Bradley, he rode beautifully and has my support - but not because we both come from England. 38

Mr Hyde, again fully agree with you.
At Catalunya last year there was a Foo kin big cross of St George right by the finish line. Each white panel had an english riders number, Smith, Webb, Redding and Toselands. Supported by me because they are English (not British).
Erm...... forgot what point I was making. Sorry.
