When Rossi loses , it's never because another rider is better than him that day...it' s always the tires, the weather, the stars...

Fiat Yamaha has defended its decision to send Valentino Rossi out on a hard compound front slick, which looked to cost the Italian his eighth home Mugello victory in a row.

Rossi is Magneti Marellis Poster boy. Check it out for yourself!!!

www dot magnetimarelli dot com/english/motorsport.php

They are owned by Fiat ie Rossis major sponsor. Anyone who says he doesnt rely on the electronics is fooling only themselves.

In fact the Yamaha M1 had a MAJOR electronics update at Mugello and is said to have by far the most sophisticated system on any current motogp bike - FACT!

Julian Ryder reported last week that Stoner uses a far less sophisticated system and relies less on traction control and other aids than any other duke rider. Imagine how good he would be on a 500cc two stroke.

Bring back the 500s I say - that will sort out the men from the GOATs :)

"How come Stoner highsided so often in 125 250 990?"

Another ignorant comment perpetuated by the legion of Rossi worshippers.

I think you will find nearly all of Stoners crashes particularly on the LCR 990 were lowsides ie losing the front end. His style dictates that he pushes the front tyre to the absolute limit of adhesion and often it gives way without much warning.

This has nothing to do with the bikes electronics as they only control the rear wheel and will continue to do so until 2 wheel drive systems on motorcycles are common place.

Try again numpty

simple..

125 & 250s
he is riding a B Spec machine against the factories.. have to ride harder and much more on the limit, hence the crashes.

990

another B spec machine (lowest spec honda but regular frontrunner when until the crashes)

also his team refused to setup his bike to his preference (they said he wants to setup his bike to the extreme) coupled with the B spec tires...

the kid is special, and he came through the ranks the hard way..

i just read in an article that the reason why Rossi's team went for the hard front tyre instead of the softer one was Bridgestone's engineer Peter Baumgartner.Vale and the rest of the team wanted to use the softer one in these conditions but Peter who had won races in the past in similar conditions insisted.and they listened to him but it turned out to be a lousy choice.
I was sure this wasn't Jeremy's decision!!

Just for blah blah's information Rossi did win a world championship on a 500cc bike. I don't understand why so many people bash him, look at his record, he is ONE of the most successful racers of all time.
