It's wide open still, although my monies on either of the yam guys probably Rossi. DP will struggle to be in the championship fight but he will definately take points off all three riders as his fitness returns and so he will still have a big say in who wins it. Would like to see more dry race weekends...

MOTOGP » Lorenzo: Like a movie!

Jorge Lorenzo was amazed to finish the Italian Grand Prix in second position, just one second from victory and ahead of team-mate and home hero Valentino Rossi, at the end of a race that was 'like a movie'.

Jorge was on a soft front.
He was damn cool to get this result after the sighting lap off.
Very good, also by his team who repaired the bike in record time.
His start was pretty wild as well, sideways off the line!

it's the third time out of 5 that Lorenzo finishes ahead of Valentino. That's new for the italian rider, who's never had a really talented team mate.

If Lorenzo can stay healthy the championship is within his grasp this year. For him to respond to the adversity laid in his lap race day and come away with the result he had is amazing. If the race had gone 1 or two more laps it would have been a very different finish I think.

When the race broadcast started and the first thing they showed was Jorge picking his bike up from the mud, the first thing I said is that this is like a movie. Did anyone notice that gorgeously ironic tail section camera shot of Jorge as he rode back to the pits with mud splattered across his Fiat leathers and the majestic clouds in the Mugello sky? It was an awesome shot and I would love to find a still of it somewhere as it would make for a great desktop background or even poster. Jorge played it so cool and proved that after stoner regains his title this year, the next year will surely be his.

I agree Bigwl3 it was a superb shot and i would love to have a poster of that shot. But how can you be so sure Stoner will regain the title this year? He has'nt exactly dominated the championship has he
Qatar.1st Stoner
Motegi.1st Lorenzo
Jerez.1st Rossi
Le Mans.1st Lorenzo
Mugello.1st Stoner
Lorenzo and Stoner are equal on wins so far this year so let's not start assuming things, Rossi is still in touch with them, Pedrosa might even find form at Catalunya.

I think "Dingo" is probably right, The yam's are the best bike on the track at the moment, and I reckon one of them will win the W.C.

They seem to be a step above the Honda's, with Suzuki a distant third.

As for Ducati, I think Stoner will be the fittest rider in the world after wrestling that sh*t box around for the rest of the year, it looks like he's riding a bag of cats
