For Samas.

Yes, I agree that they only have one thing in common. And Marco does have talent. But Nicky has a MotoGP Championship (luck or not). At the end of the day and years down the road, he will always be a World Champion.

MOTOGP » Hayden '09 mirrors Melandri '08

Nicky Hayden scores exactly the same points as struggling Ducati predecessor Marco Melandri, when comparing same five rounds.

kentuckyboy you beat me to it.

The interview today on superbikeplanet.com with Hopkins has some interesting insight on the TC issue and Casey's way of riding with TC.

Ducati are in serious trouble. Ducati/stoner got lucky and it worked together with the huge hey thought they'd found the magic formula. However the next season only 5 months later, both Honda and Yamaha had bridged that gap..an incredibly short time. Now they are starting to surpass the duke and because they have picked a direction that they neither understand nor designed, they are floundering. The window of performance of this design is coming to an end. It's hard to see Stoner winning this year without the others falling regularly. He's only been fastest in qualifying once this year I think. Even last year he was pole nearly every race.

I always feel for a very good rider when they struggle with a new ride.Hayden no exception. My opinion on that matter is that the writing at Honda was on the wall for Nicky. He waited too long to make a change."loyalty to a fault".I hope he finds his footing on the Ducati. We know he can ride a twin.If not there,I hope he finds a ride that will help him show the rest of the world that he's still got it.He's better than this.Hang in there Nicky...your fans are still here....

The only rider I know who can help Ducati misery is Charlos Checa. When Ducati started listening to him, Ducati handling are getting better and winning more races.

When he is leaving Yamaha, the M1 started having problem with chatters and Rossi losing the title. It's like the handling development was stand still.

I rate him as a very good electronics and bike's handling development rider. A rare breed of development rider which is useful in developing rider-friendly bikes. While others most commonly were good in developing the bike to go faster.

If luck is all it takes to win a world championship then we should all be giving it a go, and if it was only the infamous RC211V that won it for Nicky then why weren't all the Honda's 1,2,3,4,5 in the championship in 06'.Nicky didn't get to develop the Honda because Repsol already had it set up for mini me Pedrosa and whoever said "loyalty to a fault" was absolutely right, Nicky should have left Honda long ago but that shows his character, loyal and committed to staying with a team that didn't give a **** about him.And if Marco was so great (he is talented)why didn't he win the championship on a Honda, anyone that thinks Nicky can't ride is a F###ing idiot, pull your head out of your ass -

NERO!! "You only need to see any race with camera shot of casey's throttle hand and the throttle and braking graphic to see that there is a **** load of electronics going on. He practically uses the throttle like a switch as does he the brakes."

This is utter twaddle - which TV have you been watching? numerous shots comparing Rossi and Stoner's throttle and brake position show Stoner does not whack the throttle open - JEEZ! stop fabricating lies to support your blind ignorance, I am so p!ssed about this repeated disinformation being spread that I am going to pull them from the videos and put them on you tube for all to see and compare for themselves what really happens.

Another spinner who doesn't back up his statements with facts. In the BMW M Award Casey is second only to Lorenzo, the difference is five points and the ONLY difference is one pole position more for JL.

You twits make me laugh, nearly a third into the season, Casey is leading the championship and you are all writing him off as a has been on a dead duck, idiots!

Check your facts before you blindly post your nonsense!

im in agreement with irn bru. stoner lucked into the ducati success. good riders dont become bad overnight like hayden and melandri. even with stoner on it, it seems to me to be like its trying to spit him off at every opportunity. its lke the bike seems to be developed by engineers without to much input from the rider, whereas, the yamaha, for instance seems to be a far better balanced machine. the sirt if thing that can only come from rider input....

So Monster,

If we are to believe you, Yamaha tells Ducati about the electronics that are in use on their bike?

Next you will tell me there are no secrets and the teams share all details with each other to further the whole sport
