only pedrosa and his midget weight....look at the rest of the hondas haha and his teammate dovi proves one thing less mass equald higher speed...dont forget that pedrosa and his 47kg lets honda ramp up more fuel to the motor for that added punch whereas the others have to be more conservative in their fuel air ratios because of the stupid 21 litre rule.

As well as Pedrosa, notice that Kallio and Rossi also beat the previous best mark set by Tamada. Impressive stuff on the 800cc machines but suprised to see Stoner in particular and Lorenzo wasn't up there too.

Julian Ryder said on superbikeplanet.com in Friday Ryder notes that both Pedro and Rossi said no way where they going as fast as Dorna said. Both said thier GPS on their bikes showed it to be slower by 8 mph.

Is Dorna using radar to measure top speed?

the article on superbikeplanet states "some dispute over the accuracy of Dorna's speed gun" so I would assume that means radar.

It doesn't matter what your trap speed is if you can't stay on the bike.

Well, before the middle of the third 800 GP season the bikes have become faster then the monster-called, too-fast 990, but have become more of a NASA-computer. Thanks Honda... :?

To think the fastest I ever went on motorcycle was 165mph. I used to regularly attain 125 to 150mph and am completely comfortable at more than 100mph. But, just can't imagine the the speeds these racers reach.
