Stoner is almost on his limit, same crashes like Brno, Misano last year with the front end that slips away.
Dit you saw the leanangle....very impressive but 0.6 away of Rossi is to much.

The dominace he had last 2 years is gone....no 3 laps out of the box 1 sec faster type of practise and like today you see the result he really had to push......and crashed

Yamaha is really the best bike in the field a.t.m. and i think it will be Rossi vs Lorenzo sunday (but i hope casey will find something.....)

I have to say, I've been really impressed with Casey this year, off the track (always been impressed on the track). He seems to have matured quite a bit and his technical knowledge is impressive too.

Let's hope he also learns how to deal with Rossi's mindgames and gives us, the fans, some great battles.

Keep working at it Casey.
By the sounds of it you'll be getting some support from your team mate at last.

Get amongst those Yamaha's!!! It'll be good to see how they cope with another Duc........?

If I slid my front end by a meter or so while riding around, I would scare myself stupid!

Its the way Stoner can be so matter of fact about this that really make you realise how hardcore top flight racers really are!

... and Rossi is even better than that! :)

It's fast in slow out or slow in fast out, Caseys usually the latter.. more corner speed sounds like it's to the detriment of his exit speed as he is way off the pace... Nice picture looks like he can do what everyone else can..only slower, easier to take a picture... :)

Dingo the angry troll..... again with the deranged anti-stoner ramblings.

So you know intricate details about him, like how he rides? For someone who hates the guy, you seem to have spent an awful lot of time focused on him.

*Cough*Stalker!.

Hate to say it but it looks like Casey has reached his limit. He's had the full factory support and unlimited budget all too himself for the last three years and has only managed to go backwards despite the teams best efforts, hard to figure how he's lost so much ground since 2007.. Hopefully Nicky can get Ducati back on track..

another great picture of Casey Stoner raggin' that Ducati... hat is taking the bike to the max! still think the king of hanging it-off-a-bike and sliding around those corners is Elias in the modern era (after 2005)... see Estoril 2006 (the race where Pedrosa torpedoed Hayden). The way that Elias hangs off that bike is both hilarious and awe inspiring!

@Noobeo

It's not hard to figure out where Stoner "went wrong".

In 2007 he had the fastest bike (by far) and was on the better of the 2 tire options (by far).

Stoner is now on the slowest bike (top speed) and the tire situation as leveled.

In terms of going backwards. Stoner is leading the championship. For what's going on years Stoner has outperformed every single rider on a Ducati by a greater margin than anyone else riding for any other manufacturer.

Ducati is losing ground on development and still Stoner is leading this season. Amazing.
