Once again Rossi proves his detractors wrong. Old? Washed up? Finished? Has been? Yeah, sure.

Counter46 You are right boring until the last lap. If the other 23 laps would have been like the last lap, then it would been on par with Laguna 2008. But not to be. Congrats to all, and nice move by Valentino.

How anyone who knows anything about the sport can slag off VR is completely unreal.

Whether you're a fan or not if you've got anything about you you'll show respect. The man is unquestionably the greatest of all time.

You dont have to wax lyrical about him every 5 minutes but the way most on this site rejoice when he doesnt win, (and bear that in mind will you, doesnt WIN - for most humans simply a podium is a brilliant result but when Vale comes third he's finished!), is so very sad.

TOday just demonstrated he is still THE man to beat.

Have you been serious, many of you guys? If Vale was second today it would be a "delete" to all his athlons. This victory is one more proof that Valentino is what we call unique. This is Vale!!!

@reality bites: it seem's that you realy do not understand what kind of man is Lorenzo! Of course he will do everything to win next races but he will do it with fair play on the race track. Fore sure it is not a war for him, it is a competition and he is respecting his competitors

I was cheering for Rossi and am happy he's got someone to push him to the limit this year on identical material.

I don't understand all the hating on Stoner. All he said was that he was getting increasingly more ill as the weekend wore on and that affected his ride today. It's silly to claim he's putting on an act. It's good for the championship that he hung on and managed to stay level on points with VR and JL.

Alex, if you're going to diss JL for his "nationalism" in wearing Barca leathers, shouldn't you diss Rossi for kitting out in Italy leathers last year and for donning an Italy jersey a few years ago at the Sachsenring? Your remark was silly. As if VR had that on his mind!!!

i think lorenzo's comments just showed how gutted he was to be beaten by rossi by pure skill, if he had of been any "braver" he probably wouldve thrown the bike down the road they were both lapping faster than any of the practice sesions, as for casey anyone who says he was putting on is kidding themselves he was white as a ghost and anyone who bothered to look at his rear tyre would have seen it was still in great shape better than the yamahas at the end of the race so he obviously wasnt well, also great ride by dani with his injuries to finish 5th
