Did Casey ONCE congratulate Jorge or Valentino today on TV? Has Casey EVER said he is beaten by the better rider after a loss like that? Jorge does.

I watched it on the BBC, on Eurosport and I watched the press talk too. Not one word, why?

This is why Stoner is disliked so much, sadly.

A truly wonderful talent ruined by a bad sportsman attitude.

Either way, he won't win another world championship again - he doesn't have a 16 km/h advantage and one litre extra fuel economy to play with.

MOTOGP » 'Dead' Stoner clings to podium

For the first nine laps of Sunday’s Grand Prix of Catalunya, Casey Stoner matched the Fiat Yamahas of Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo blow-for-blow at the front of the field.

Well you got one part right - it WAS a good result considering. Next stop Assen, where Casey is fast as hell.

@damo...Might have been fast as hell last year but on the straight the yams have deffo caught up with speed if not surpassed the duc. I just hope stoner and dani are fit(fitter in dani's case) because we could be in for one hell of a race....can't wait. Yeah 2pac doesn't seem to hold up his post race interview comments about his health does it mmmm

The Rossi fanboys will not relent on savaging Casey no matter what he says (doesn't say). Not until he loudly utters that Rossi is the better rider, and openly says "congratulations" before the camera and mic (did you read that in the first few pages of this thread?)

i really dont think it would have been too hard for casey to have congratulated val and JL..it certainly would have gone a long way in favour of changing some peoples opinion of him if he had...he just appeared to "steel the thunder" of what was an amazing race from val and JL..he will live to learn that a little grace will go a long way even when you are dead clinging to the podium.

Wow, there's a high ratio of moany, defensive Stoner fans on here....I ride a Ducati, and I think Stoner has all the talent in the world, and thank the lord he's riding for Ducati. But he does come off as Moaner Casey - there were 18 other riders out there in the same heat. Oh, and, LOL, maybe he ought to leave mom at home, too.
BTW, 3rd place ain't bad- why ruin what was a great ride with "poor me" crap?

Stoner is an incredible rider, check out that picture in MCN where he is sideways, knee almost down drifting towards the apex, a real gem. BUT, be honest he is also an incredible moaner. Of course all of them must feel gutted when they don't win, check out Rossi at Mugello, but to refuse to shake hands and bleat out excuse after excuse he acts like a spoilt child. The look on his wife's face yesterday didn't show concern more like 'god, what have I married'. Does she wheel him back to the motorhome in a pram? 46
