"Wow, Casey was fastest easily here last season, just sneaking third quickest is hardly a great result"

What are you talking about? What's the big deal? He was 3rd - not 13th. This is MotoGP - 3rd is always a great result. Just because you were fastest at a track last year has absolutely nothing to do with the current year. Nothing. And the fact that he is .035 off of 1st makes that statement even more ridiculous.

You guys kill me with the doom and gloom, the sky is falling type stuff.

MOTOGP » Stoner: A great sign

Defending Dutch TT winner Casey Stoner was pleasantly surprised at how quickly his Ducati Desmosedici adapted to the Assen circuit during Thursday practice.

Wow, Casey was fastest easily here last season, just sneaking third quickest is hardly a great result. Tied to the fact that they are changing swing arms as often as Stoner changes his nappy. From Casey's talk he reckons these next 3 or 4 races(which he believes are his) are going to see him jump ahead in the championship.. He needs to revise these beliefs quickly and stop talking please.....

A great sign until race day when he comes 4th and something will have been wrong with the bike or he'll be dead again?

I hope it's a repeat of the last race and i hope stoner is up there with them, but i think he's getting ahead of himself.

Last season there was barely a session he didn't top by 3-5 tenths of a second, now he finds he can't go out, do 3 laps and sit in the pits till someone gets close.

He's gonna find it very difficult i think, but that doesn't mean Rossi or Lorenzo will find it easy.

Hey JT's mum, here's where you are ! I've been waiting for you to defend Jimmy Boy on his thread elsewhere on this site. Do you think Casey is having a little moan to his wife ? Discussing pram settings perhaps ? 46

I for one don't hate him, he is a class rider. He won the race last year because Rossi crashed let's not forget that. I forecast that he will not win this year and the weather conditions will be to blame. Oh dear, I'm getting foolishly serious now. I've joined the very serious armchair pundits. What a bore. Bring back the piss taking ! 46
