Stoner won't do anything on the Honda, as seen back in 2006. He should stay were he is because the Ducati suits him down to the boot, and it is the only bike he is really quick on. He would be quickish but nothing special on anything else. Kind of like Gibernau. He wouldn't be able to do much more than Pedrosa or Dovi are doing right no....w

As for Pedrosa, he is good but not Rossi good, it's simple as that, and that's why he can't win on an inferior bike like Rossi did in 04-05. The best he can hope for is 4th in the championship, as he is in general the quickest Honda rider, but the first 3 places are gone.... And he needs to stop crashing, it's getting a wee bit out of hand.

MOTOGP » Pedrosa, Dovizioso fall, Honda drought reaches 18 races

Honda’s last MotoGP victory came at round seven of the 2008 world championship, and the RCV win drought remains a long way from over after both factory riders crashed out at the same corner in round seven of the 2009 championship.

Between all the talk... He does not know why he crashed. So much for good feedback from the new chassis.

If I were Honda... I'd get Stoner's ass on an HRC-full-support Honda ASAP:
- I think with full support Stoner can win with this bike without injuring the bejeeses out of himself
- Ducati is nowhere without Stoner, so you eleminate one competitor

continued....

As for Honda in general, they have completely lost there way. Mick Doohan's work and general genius followed by Rossi's seriously went to their collective heads. So much for their bikes winning races and titles instead of the riders. The 2006 title was a fluke, as Yamaha dropped the ball. Funny how their constant winning came to an almost complete stand still when Rossi left.........

'It's the bike, not the rider' - Unknown Loser-san, 2003

How's that working out for you fellas? Seeing the competition win Rider, Team and Brand Championships two years in a row at Motegi, your own track? Maybe even three in a row.

Honda must be really embarrassed. Since Rossi has left, all riders that won on a Honda from 2004 till today have combined won less races than Rossi did by himself in the 4 seasons he was with Honda:

Biaggi, Gibernau, Tamada, Melandri, Elias, Pedrosa, Hayden - Honda race wins : 22 2004-2009

Rossi - Honda race wins : 33 2000-2003

sorry forgot Barros... that's 25 wins for all Honda riders from 2004-2009 against Rossi's 33 Honda wins from 2000-2003

For next year MM on the satellite factory honda, Leon Haslam on De Angelis bike and Casey or JL on the Dovi bike, Dovi ain't fast enough to live with JL,DP,CS or VR. Casey ain't gonna win again on the Duc, he has pace though and could be dynamite on the Honda, worth a punt, they'll hardly go backwards.

Honda san if you'd like me to head up casting give me a call...

Actually the missing part of the honda success equation is Jeremy Burgess, he's been chief engineer to Digger, Doohan and Vale.. all when they were honda mounted.

Dani's death spiral continues. Bet Puig isn't threatening to go elsewhere now. HRC is in a pickle-Divo shows promise but can't quite seem to muster the goods while Honda has invested so much in Dani it would look terrible to boot him now. But what else can they do? Repsol want's a Spanish rider so that really narrows the field. Haslam seems like a good bet as I see no up and comming Spaniard in either 250 or WSB. .
