Why not put chaz davies on the bike? He has ridden for the team before and knows the track.

Throw the keys to the veteran Larry Pegram. He did just win one for Ducati at Road America, and he's one of the nicest guys around.

Poor Mika, he is so unlucky. It's best that he heals completely before getting back on the bike but I will definitely miss him at Laguna Seca. Get well soon, Mika, we are with you! :)

At least for one race, we don't have to hear about how slower riders are getting in his way preventing him from being in the top 5. Hope he heals up soon though.

Given the rep the Duck is getting about being unrideable, they are missing a chance to let some one like Pegram, someone that won't have to learn the track, and can serve as a useful test rider.

Undoubtedly bad news for Mika and I hope he gets well soon, but...I really can't see the sense in not running the second bike. As other posters have already said, extra dev work wouldn't go a miss and there's plenty of riders who'd jump at the chance to have a go, not least Chaz - he was posting some impressive lap times by the end of his stand-in ride.

Why do they not replace riders?! Do the sponsors not want 2 bikes on the grid?!

Bizzare!
