Sick of hearing all this hype about firstly Pedrosa, then Stoner and now Lorenzo all being hailed as heir to the thrown.

Rossi is only 30 and kept himself in good shape and has never had any serious injuries - unlike the pretenders. Realistically, Rossi could have anywhere between 6 and 10 good seasons still left in him and still be unbeatable. It all depends on his motivation to stay in motogp.

By the time Rossi decides to call it a day, some other hot-shot will probably have come along meaning Pedrosa and Lorenzo will never have their turn in the sun and unlikely that Stoner will ever repeat his success.

Looks like Vale owns all their a$$es and has their careers in his pocket! :) :) :)

He can do it. I feel he can win one more championshipin those three or four years. Its all about passing agostini's record. If his skills begin to fade during that time he'll never dip below 3rd place in points, 8 world titles and possibly this year's title and possibly one more if his competitors fail to truly match his abilities he may be king of MotoGp for a long time to come. He's still only 31 hell Capirossi and Edwards are still capable riders are they not?

If Spies went to Tech3, next year I do hope Tom houseworth, and his newly draft long Time AMA chief mechanic Greg Wood, would come as well, it seems they did a pretty good job in Donnington it terms of setting up the bike for Spies.

I just hope he leaves the sport on his terms and not in an ambulance.

The number of top riders who have left the sport because of the inability to ride the bike after an accident(s) is scary.

Valentino needs to look at Troy Balliss and leave when he is still intact and running at the head of the pack

I am a Rossi fan and that is great news to me to hear him wanting to stay in Motogp. The thing is, can Yamaha support him as top dog when they have Jorge and Spies chomping at the bit to be unleashed. These guys will not play second fiddle for too long as they will want to start making their name when the are young and not in their mid age years. What do you guys think? :?

Yeah Dean, Capi and Edwards are taking a motherload of podiums between them aren't they! Hahahahahaha.
It's a shame Rossi thinks he's got that long left, cause I'd like to see another rider work with Burgess before he retires too. Then we would see where the genius comes from. I'm sure it's a major part of the decision so he's not exposed as just the rich kid with the fanciest toys. I guess there'll always be that doubt, even for the diehard fans. Cheers.

lorenzo is not playing second fiddle cos has the same bike as rossi. off course rossi has the upper hand cos of expirence. if lorenzo dos not win at yamaha within next couple of years or even this year he will end up in HRC cos repsol will bring the big bucks and pedrosa will be his team mate if lucky and for me it will be his biggest mistake, rossi is the best out there so he should try to learn as mush as he can from rossi lets not talk about spies just yet, sbk too motogp is like going from indy too F1. motogp bikes have so many different setup variations from a sbk..even a 250cc is much more complicated too set than a sbk and thats way 250 riders find it easier to adjust a motogp 800cc
